I tend to have a "martyr's complex" in wanting to try and save the world. I hate injustice of any kind. I feel compelled to right wrongs. I have no tolerance for liars, cheaters, or thieves. I really hate apathy, selfishness, greed, or self-importance. I believe every person has a moral responsibility to better humanity by giving of onesself. Whether through politics, religion, education, or in small every-day tangible ways, there is a world in need of help. Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something. What is most important to me is rolling up my sleeves and actually doing something to make a difference and not just talking about it. My current way of serving is in the US Army as a combat medic, a job I love. I am actively involved in helping to end genocide, ethnic cleansing, and human trafficking. I believe that human rights, individual rights, the right of self-governance, the principles of a free market society, economic stability, religious tolerance, access to employment, healthcare, education, the freedoms of assembly, free speech, freedom of movement, freedom of the press, and freedom from discrimination are not simply American ideals being forced upon the world, but are the rights of all peoples in every nation. I love meeting new people from different places. I love to laugh and think having a sense of humor is important. Life's serious enough and the world needs to learn to "chill" a little more. Rich, poor, Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, Agnostic, straight, bi, gay, lesbian, no matter your social class, ethnicity or nationality... despite our differences, we are all the same.
